Self-Guided Aboriginal Trail

Before settlement the peoples of the Kulin nation occupied a large area of Victoria including what we now call Melbourne, identifying with areas of land or clan estates that they regarded as their own since the time of creation.  The Bunurong or Boonerwrung are acknowledged as traditional owners of the area that includes St Kilda. 

This trail starts at West Beach Natural History Garden, takes in a 400-700 year-old ceremonial red gum tree that is listed on the Register of the National Estate, and ends at the Catani Gardens.  The trail is about four kilometres and can be walked in an hour to an hour-and-a-half.  Download all the details here:
